Michael Cohen, CEO

Michael has worked in the area of small business most of his adult life. He successfully launched numerous businesses including a very successful real estate brokerage on the north side of Chicago which was the first company to bear the SPECTRUM name. His career assisting other entrepreneurs blossomed in the early 2000’s when he completed his Master’s degree and branched out into SPECTRUM Small Business Services.

 

In the last 10 years, he has dedicated his expertise to working in the realm of SBDC’s (Small Business Development Centers) which brought him to Phoenix, AZ. He also has managed microloan funds in both Chicago and the Pacific Northwest. Michael has been directly responsible for the funding of over $4 million to well over 200 small businesses.

 

Recently he received his certification from ISBA to conduct business valuations for the purpose of sale, dissolution, or loan requirements. He has also authored and presented hundreds of workshops on small business topics.
